Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for our health.  Finding a supplement that you can trust is important if you are not certain that you are getting enough Omega 3’s from your diet.  I was recently given the opportunity to review the GloryFeel Omega 3 Fish Oil capsules.

My first impression of the GloryFeel Omega 3 Fish Oil capsules was in reading the label.  Two capsules is one daily serving and contains 2000 mg of fish oil derived from mackeral, salmon, herring, anchovies, and sardines.  This breaks down into 1400 mg of Omega 3 fatty acids (600 mg DHG and 800 mg EPA)  The capsules have an enteric coating to help increase absorption and avoid the fishy aftertaste and the burbs that often are associated with fish oil supplements.  GloryFeel brand contains more available Omega 3 than many other brands for the same dosage.

I like the fact that GloryFeel uses molecular distillation to purify their fish oil.  This method eliminates PCBs, heavy metals, and other toxins to a level that is safe for human consumption, a sign that the company cares about the health of its customers.  I did note that the capsules are manufactured in Germany, rather than in the USA.  If you are a regular reader, you know that I strongly prefer USA manufacturing guidelines.  The Gloryfeel Fish Oil does seem to have rather high standards for production, making it still quite worthy in my opinion.

Why use Omega 3 capsules?  Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid that many experts believe helps support the health of our joints, brain, skin, and even our mood.  No negative issues have been found with omega 3 supplements and much research points to a myriad of positives.  Many family physicians recommend it as a daily supplement, too.

Is it truly worth the cost of the capsules and the daily ingesting?  After much research over the years, I feel it is.  Our original diets would have been much higher in Omega 3’s than today’s often imbalanced diets are.  Vegetarians usually choose to supplement with flaxseed oil for Omega 3, but if you are not a total vegetarian, fish oil is a good way to supplement.

The Gloryfeel Omega 3 Fish Oil supplement appears to be an excellent choice for providing Omega 3 fatty acids for the non-vegetarian.
