Coffee is a necessary staple in our home, so I was happy to be able to test the Manual Burr Coffee Grinder by the Manual Coffee Grinder Company.
Electric coffee grinders are convenient and easy to use, but the manual ones usually yield a better grind and flavor, in addition to not needing electricity to operate. The Manual Burr Grinder comes with instructions to make it easy to use, but it does take a little practice to get the settings just perfect.
With a mix of stainless construction and ceramic burrs, this grinder is easy to keep clean (it is said to be dishwasher safe, but we just wash in the sink — quick and easy) and does an excellent job of grinding beans.
I like the glass jar for storage of the coffee, and the silicone lid fits on tightly. Another nice feature is the non-skid base to keep it in place.
For normal sized households, this is a good grinder. It is a bit small for our home use (several avid coffee drinkers) but is perfect for those days when fewer people are home, and also for the times that one person wants his own type of coffee.
This is a good manual grinder, well worth having for daily use.
