The Caretaker of Imagination (book) REVIEW

The Caretaker of Imagination, a book available in either e-book or paperback format, is by author, Z.R. Southcombe and illustrated by Jane Thorne.  The book is written as a children’s book geared toward pre-teens, but it is easily enjoyed by adults and teens, as well.

A child sees life as fun, magical, and full of new adventures. At some point, often as a preteen, many people see the real world and are disappointed by it’s lack of the magic we experience as a child.

John and his pet cat set out on an adventure, bringing along a range of fun and imagination.  When they meet a pirate, he helps them save magic, which reminds me more of the fresh optimism of childhood.  What a great way to reach out to pre-teens and older to help reset that optimistic attitude that our childhood embraces.  Reading The Caretaker of Imagination brings us back to that “life is full of wonders” attitude of childhood.

I highly recommend this book to pre-teens, but also to teens and adults.  Take another venture through Imagination and rediscover the wonders that life holds!
