Why almond flour?  Morning Pep Almond Flour is  certified Kosher And Gluten Free with No additives or preservative.  Made from 100% all-natural Certified Gluten-Free by GFCO blanched almonds, it is substitute for wheat flour in cakes, breads, cookies, muffins and more,  It’s an excellent  source of dietary fiber, Vitamin E, protein, iron, magnisium & calcium.  This flour is very finely-ground and gives baked goods and sweets a rich flavor and moist texture.

almond flour 2Although it can be substituted in recipes for wheat flour, there are many recipes that feature almond flour, including almond cookies and almond muffins.  I love almond tarts, made with an almond flour crust and a sweet almond sponge filling.

This almond flour also adds a wonderful flavor as a breading to baked and fried foods, too.  My favorite is almond crusted tofu and veggie bites.  These are very simple to make.  Just make a batter with the flour and dip bite sized chunks of tofu and vegetables in the batter.  Bake on a lightly oiled baking sheet until lightly browned and crisp.  Simple, yet so delicious!

Probably my favorite way to enjoy this almond flour is in my green smoothies.  Since it’s just ground almonds, a tablespoon or two added to my smoothie gives it a nutritional boost and adds incredible flavor!

I like this brand of almond flour as it’s texture and flavor are excellent, it has no additives or preservatives, and it’s made in the USA.
