When we are grating a small amount of garlic or ginger, or other similar foods, the big box grater is just not perfect, so I was happy to try this Stainless Steel Garlic and Ginger Grater with collecting groove.
It’s small and a very nice polished stainless steel. I like the channels around the outside edge which help to catch the food bits. There are 14 rows of extremely sharp edges to grate. It works well on garlic and ginger, but also on nutmeg and hard cheese like Parmesan.
Another great use for this is to grate butter, such as for topping a pie or dessert dish. Hard chocolate is also quite easy to grate on this little grater.
For those little job of grating hard foods, this grater does an excellent job. It even has a little hole so it can be hung on your utensil hooks.
