Our family cooks and bakes a lot and good quality tools are essential. I’ve had another scraper that works well, but I wasn’t crazy about the handle on it as it was all stainless and hard on the hands. So when I saw the Sunsella Pastry Scraper & Chopper, I was ready to try it!
I was immediately impressed with the scraper when I received it. It’s stainless steel but the handle is made of rubber. It grips nicely and doesn’t slip. Finally, a resolution to my pastry scraper problems! It is quite well attached and seems to be sturdy. The scraper itself is very well crafted. It does have the measurements, as described, which I expect to be helpful as I teach my younger daughters to cook, but they are not engraved, so I’m not certain how long they will last.
Does it work? Yes! I can chop, cut dough, scrape up pieces….and it continues to look as good as new. It’s said to be dishwasher safe, but I just washed it quickly in soapy water and rinsed after each use. It washes cleanly and quickly.
Sunsella is a very trusted company; my kitchen has several of their products, including this pastry scraper. I highly recommend this product for your kitchen!
