Emergency Survival Whistle – 7 Tools in 1 Product Review

Who needs an Emergency Survival Whistle – 7 Tools in 1 Product like this one by Ramini?    I’m not a camping person, but we live in a hurricane area and have a farm, so a survival tool makes sense for us.   Even if you are not one to venture out, a survival tool can be quite useful in the emergency supply box for times when major storms happen.  If you are an outdoors person, if you like hiking, camping, or boating, you probably have considered having an emergency tool with you.

Emergency whistleThis survival tool has 7 components:

  • high decibel survival whistle
  • compass
  • thermometer
  • magnifier
  • reflective mirror
  • flashlight
  • personal information holder

Each of these performed well, but I do wish the whistle was louder, a lot louder.  It is sufficient for our needs on the farm, but is really not what I would consider a survival whistle for someone hiking or camping.  The other point is that the thermometer is in Celsius only.  Since our country has not made the jump to metric, it might be nice to include a Fahrenheit scale, but that is not essential. It comes with a nylon hang rope for easy carrying or wearing around your neck.  It’s also small enough to keep in your backpack, if you prefer.

Overall this is a nice survival tool, although if I were camping or hiking, I would probably carry a separate whistle that was much louder.
